Johannesburg / Soweto and Apartheid Museum Tour

Jo'burg was discovered on a reef of gold in 1886, and has since become the largest city in South Africa. Visit the city and see how the decentralisation of business to Sandton has affected the old CBD, and the reasons why it happened. See Nelson Mandela's house, historic buildings, the old Stock Exchange, an outdoor African Medicine Market and more.
From the city we drive south to the Apartheid Museum. The museum gives one a great idea of life in the townships and in the old South Africa, and is an excellent introduction before heading into Soweto for the rest of your tour. The Apartheid Museum contains a huge amount of information, interviews, real life events and protests that occurred, and one needs at least 2 hours to be able to cover everything.
After the museum we drive towards Africa's largest township, Soweto, made famous during the apartheid era. The South Western Township with a population of ± 1.5 million people tells the story of a peoples struggle for freedom and the hardships they endured. Visit a Shanty Town, Freedom Square, Nelson & Winnie Mandela's house, Hector PietersonMemorial as well as the upper class suburbs of Soweto. Lunch can be enjoyed at one of the restaurants in Soweto, while reflecting on South Africa's 'Long Walk to Freedom'.
Johannesburg City and Pretoria City Tour

You will also visit the Constitutional Court and take a tour of the old JHB prison, as well as see the panoramic views of JHB from the top of Africa’s tallest building, the Carlton Centre.
From JHB we head to Pretoria. South Africa's Capital City offers a historical tour of monuments and museums. Learn about the history of the country and its people including the struggles that took place between the British, Dutch and African people in their quest to own and protect land. Pretoria is said to have some 55 000 Jacaranda trees aligning its streets, which during the spring time (September to November), produce a magnificent display of purple, which is breathtaking. Visit the Voortrekker Museum, Church Square and the Union Buildings and more.
Lesedi Cultural Village and Lion Park Tour

Experience the recreated villages of South Africa's 5 most dominant African tribes, Zulu, Sotho, Pedi, Xhosa and Indebele. Learn about their different cultures and traditions and join in the traditional dancing before ending your visit with a true African feast - NyamaChoma! After lunch we visit the Lion Park. Here you will be able to see Lions, Cheetah, Hyaena and Wild Dog up close as well as feed a giraffe and play with lion cubs.

Pilanesberg Game Reserve / Sun City

Situated only 2 hours from Johannesburg, the Pilanesberg is home to Africa's Big 5. This picturesque reserve, an extinct volcano is malaria free and offers great game viewing of a wide variety of animals. Lunch is enjoyed outside at the Bakubung Game Lodge, after which game viewing continues before visiting the famous Sun City resort which borders the park. You arrive home at around 18H00. Entrance fees are included in the tour. Lunch is excluded. Overnight stays can be arranged.
Cullinan Diamond Mine & Pretoria City Tour

Join a surface tour of South Africa's premier diamond mine in the town of Cullinan, situated a half hours drive NE of Pretoria. After the tour enjoy lunch at one of the restuarants in the mining village, before heading towards Pretoria, South Africa's capital city. The tour offers an insight into the countries history as you visit the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square, Union Buildings and more.

Rhino & Lion Park and Cradle of Mankind Tour – Sterkfontein Caves or Maropeng

Nestled in the Magaliesbergmountains, this 1200ha game reserve offers tourists the chance to see White Rhino, Lion, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile and a large variety of antelope. At the reserve centre there is a reptile &snake park as well as the opportunity to play with lion and tiger cubs. The centre also has a restaurant where lunch can be enjoyed. After lunch, visit either the Sterkfontein Caves nearby, where the oldest human ancestral skull was found in 1947. Take a guided tour down the caves and learn more about the area and its secrets. Or you can choose to visit Maropeng. Maropeng is the official visitors' centre for the Cradle of Humankind, a World Heritage Site whose name means 'returning to the place of origin' in Setswana, one of South Africa's 11 official languages. The centre has many displays and information on human evolution.
